The Hardin County Schools Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is collecting items to brighten the lives of local homebound residents and those in long-term care facilities.

A collection bin has been placed at each school in the district. Students, staff, families, parents and community members are encouraged to bring items that would help bring a smile to senior citizens. The collection drive will last from April 21 to May 5, 2026. Go to the News and Announcements section of www.hardin.kyschools.us for a list of items and for more information.

welcome back after spring break

Dear Parents,
Even though Teacher Appreciation Week is a few months away, it takes a lot of work and preparation to make the week a success. It’s never too early to enlist the help and support from our parents, community members and local businesses.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-May 8, 2026. During this time, we try to make the week extra-enjoyable for our teachers by providing treats, snacks and door prize drawings. Donations from our community go a long way in making this happen! Monetary donations would go towards funding a catered meal and/or purchasing snacks for afternoon treats. Examples of door prizes include: gift cards to area restaurants, Amazon, Target, and other businesses. Gift baskets of products from local businesses or gift certificates for a service also make nice prizes.
We would greatly appreciate any donation you can make. We are hoping to have a week where our teachers can be celebrated and supported. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me at cristy.stapleton@hardin.kyschools.us.

EC3 Families, we will continue with NTI tomorrow, Thursday February 5th. EC3 has had a very good turnout with our students so far, but we are challenging students to do even more. If our students have 100% participation with all their assignments for NTI, then we will be providing those students with Donuts (AM classes), Fresh baked Chocolate chip cookies (3rd), and Ice Cream (PM classes)!

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS! The weather has us moving at a slower pace. It is a great time to take advantage and complete scholarship applications.

High school websites have links to scholarship applications. You can find several here as well: https://www.hardin.kyschools.us/quick-links/scholarship-information

Scholarship Central from the Central Kentucky Community Foundation houses approximately 150 scholarships worth more than $300,000. All of those scholarships require only ONE application.
